The Woodlands Children’s Museum is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and creative Event Coordinator to help bring memorable experiences to life for children and families in our community!

What You’ll Do

• Plan and coordinate museum events, special programs, holiday celebrations, and community events from concept through completion.
• Develop creative event ideas that support the Museum’s mission of educating, empowering, and exciting children and families through play.
• Coordinate event logistics, including schedules, supplies, vendors, performers, volunteers, community partners, and setup/cleanup.
• Assist with event marketing and promotion, including gathering information and content for social media, email, website, and promotional materials.
• Communicate with vendors, performers, sponsors, volunteers, and other event partners in a friendly and professional manner.
• Help develop event budgets and track expenses.
• Coordinate event-day staff and volunteers and provide direction as needed.
• Assist with sponsorship and partner recognition associated with special events.
* Some physical activity is involved, including occasional lifting, carrying, standing, and moving supplies.

This position is part-time and requires flexibility, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for museum events. The schedule will vary depending on the Museum’s event calendar.

• Is highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Has a positive, welcoming attitude and enjoys working in a family focused environment
• Has strong attention to detail and follows through on commitments.
• Is comfortable coordinating multiple people, vendors, and logistics.
* Previous event planning is preferred, but we are willing are willing to train the right candidate.
