Job Description

Role: On-Site Installer / Production Assistant

Pay: $12.00/hr (Training) | $15.00–$20.00/hr (Standard Crew Rate post-training, based on consistency and performance)

Job Type: Part-time / Event-based

We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented On-Site Installer / Production Assistant to bring our event designs to life. In this role, you will work directly with lead designers to build high-impact event setups, ensuring every backdrop, marquee light, and balloon garland is styled to perfection and completed on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Rig, shape, and secure custom balloon garlands and floral or prop accents.

Position backdrop walls, assemble framework, and precision-align light-up marquee letters.

Safely load, transport, unload, and stage decor inventory, tools, and production gear at venue sites.

Support lead designers with hands-on adjustments, styling, and troubleshooting under tight venue turnarounds.

Assist with post-event breakdown, pack-down, and inventory checks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Student Status: Currently enrolled college student seeking flexible, hands-on event work.

Physical Capability: Comfortable working on your feet for extended shifts and able to lift 30–40 lbs (props, balloon frames, heavy bases, and gear).

Attention to Detail: Sharp eye for symmetry, spacing, and fine details to match design mockups.

Reliability: Exceptional punctuality, self-accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset during live setups.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, positive attitude under fast-paced conditions.

Logistics & Screening: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle for site travel, and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Skills Required

Detail Orientation: High precision and meticulous focus when handling event decor, balloon frames, and small props.

Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Quick, resourceful thinking to resolve on-the-spot issues in a fast-moving environment.

Collaboration & Interpersonal Communication: Active team communication with a positive, solutions-oriented demeanor.

Physical Stamina & Handling: Capability to stay on your feet for extended periods and safely carry, load, and transport event gear up to 40 lbs.

Time Management & Dependability: Consistent punctuality and dedication to meeting strict event setup timelines.

Logistical Mobility: Safe operation of personal transportation for event-related travel and site dispatch.

Compensation:

$15–$20/hour (post-training)
