Continental Leaving SkyTeam for Star Alliance

Continental Airlines is joining Star Alliance this fall and will end its participation in SkyTeam after its last flight on October 24, 2009.

Continental will begin its partnership with Star Alliance on Oct. 27.

OnePass members mileage balances will not be affected by the transition, and members do not need to make any changes to their accounts. Through Oct. 24, OnePass members can continue to earn and redeem miles and make reward reservations on SkyTeam partners.

When the transition to Star Alliance occurs, OnePass members will begin earning base miles and Elite Qualification Miles/Points and be able to redeem miles on Star Alliance airlines.
