The Woodlands boys Continue win Streak

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands High School boys’ basketball team closed out the predistrict home schedule in impressive fashion Tuesday.

The Highlanders jumped out to a 22-4 lead at the quarter and never looked back, defeating visiting Tomball 78-45.

Wes Cole scored a game-high 21 points and Danny Manning added 11 more in a game that was never in doubt. The Highlanders (13-3) led 42-15 at halftime before cruising to their sixth consecutive victory.

The Woodlands defeated Cy-Ranch 64-49 on the road Monday. Nolan Cass led the way with 15 points and Brian Nordstrom added nine more. Cole and Jordan Alpha contributed seven points each.

The Woodlands next plays in the Cedar Park Tournament, Dec. 27-28, before the District 14-5A opener, set for 5 p.m. Dec. 31 at Atascocita.
