THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Covenant United Methodist Church has outgrown its space at the Creekside YMCA and will move to a new location, Timber Creek Elementary School, beginning Sunday, November 3 at 10 a.m., 8455 Creekside Green Drive, Creekside Park Village.

Rapid church growth leads to new location in Village of Creekside on November 3.

“While we were blessed to have the use of the Creekside YMCA, we have reached capacity at that location. Our worship attendance has grown steadily, and our children’s programs need room for expansion. The new location provides this,” said Reverend Burnham.

Burnham also noted that the school’s location just off Kuykendahl at Creekside Green gives the church exposure to the growing communities in that area.

“Covenant is uniquely positioned,” said Burnham of the growing church. “Geographically, we couldn’t be in a better spot. There is so much growth in north Spring, Tomball, as well as the southern part of The Woodlands. Being one of the only places of worship in the Village of Creekside Park certainly doesn’t hurt, either.”

In addition to contemporary worship services on Sundays at 10 a.m., Covenant UMC also offers a vibrant, growing children’s and youth program, as well as adult fellowship, mission and outreach opportunities on a local, regional and international level.

While the church doesn’t own land yet, there are plans to purchase property on a major thoroughfare somewhere south of Spring Creek in the vicinity of the Village of Creekside Park. In the meantime, said Burnham, worshippers at Covenant are excited about the advantages of being a “portable church.”

“It gives us time to dream and to discern God’s will for our congregation,” added Burnham. “God has provided a virtual blank slate for Covenant. I feel so excited—so blessed—to be on this journey of faith with our growing number of worshippers.”
