THE WOODLANDS, Texas - For unique home décor and one-of-a-kind furniture and accessories, look no further than the French Courtyard. Located in Oak Ridge North at 27326 Robinson Road, this home furnishings store has the perfect blend of both new and consignment items for sale at moderate prices. Complete with gorgeous furniture, home accessories and eclectic gifts for any occasion, French Courtyard is a one-stop-shop for quality pieces to make any home stand out.

When French Courtyard opened 25 years ago, it was originally located on FM 1960. Becky Weischwill has been with the store for 15 years and has been the current owner for the past eight years. When the lease was up on the previous location, Weischwill took the opportunity to move the unique store to the growing suburb of The Woodlands. Weischwill adds flair to French Courtyard by not only selling new items such as furniture, home accessories, seasonal items and much more, but consignment furniture as well. She makes sure that the consigned items sold in her store are quality pieces. With many years of experience in the consignment and antique business, Weischwill has a keen eye for special pieces of furniture that would fit in with the rest of her store and give any home an eclectic and special look.

“We have just as much new items as we do consignment items,” said Weischwill.

Although consignment items are second-hand and can sometimes be considered antiques, Weischwill only chooses the items that will add to the store and are high-quality products sure to last while looking beautiful in any home.

“I have been doing this for so long that I can just tell what I want in the store,” said Weischwill.

French Courtyard also features many new pieces of furniture and accessories including dining tables and chairs, gorgeous wall sconces, couches, mirrors, iron beds, lamps and much more. With fall and Christmas right around the corner, French Courtyard has holiday-themed items as well to make any home ready for the holiday season. Customers can even look forward to bow classes as the season nears. For $10, Cathy, who is also the store’s in-house floral designer, will be giving the tutorials. Stay tuned to the store’s website for more information as October nears.

“She will teach you how to make different kind of bows for wreaths and gift-wrapping. We will also be having a Holiday Open House on November 1st where we will be giving out fall decorating tips,” said Weischwill.

A class that French Courtyard is currently offering on Saturdays is beginner chalk painting lessons. Friends and family can get together and enjoy a complimentary lunch while painting!

“French Courtyard is just a neat place altogether,” said Weischwill. “Everyone who works here is great and it is just so nice to work with such wonderful people.”
