The Woodlands CVB welcomes new Nordstrom store to The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The opening of a new Nordstrom store in The Woodlands is being hailed by The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau as a major addition to the area’s eight million square feet of shopping, dining, entertainment and hospitality – a significant draw for vacationing families, corporate and convention meetings, and general leisure traveling.

“Shopping is a big part of The Woodlands ‘experience,’ whether it’s for the day or the weekend,” notes Gordy Bunch, chairman of The Woodlands Visitors & Convention Bureau. “Nordstrom is certainly a major addition to our lineup of great stores throughout The Woodlands as a premier destination for shopping, dining, meetings, recreation and entertainment.”

Sales tax and hotel tax collections underscore the role premium shopping venues play in terms of positioning The Woodlands as a getaway destination, Bunch adds.

The Woodlands location marks the second full-line store for Nordstrom in the greater Houston area. The two-level, 138,000-square-foot store features five shoe departments, a bistro-style restaurant, espresso bar, expansive cosmetics and accessories areas and a comprehensive offering of popular brand names for women, men and children. Bazille, the store’s contemporary American restaurant, an updated beauty experience and the latest interior and exterior design concepts, are new to the Houston market.

Nordstrom in The Woodlands also offers a number of services to enhance the shopping experience including an in-store alterations and tailor shop, certified bra and prosthesis fitters, complimentary gift boxes and Personal Stylist – a complimentary wardrobe and shopping service.
