THE WOODLANDS, Texas – For a high-quality dining experience complete with delicious prime beef and fresh seafood, residents of The Woodlands do not have to look very far. Located at 1700 Research Forest Drive, Bob’s Steak & Chop House is sure to have every mouth watering at the upscale steakhouse. With restaurants nationwide, Bob’s takes pride in adhering to high standards while combining elegance, big drinks, fine wines and prime steaks, and The Woodlands location is no exception.

Open since January of 2014, Bob’s Steak & Chop House has become the place to go for an upscale dining experience.

“We’re an upscale steakhouse, and the thing that separates us from other steakhouses is that our filets are prime beef,” said Eric Ferrell, General Manager. “Prime is the top two percent of all beef in The United States. It has better marbling, which is the way the fat is layered into the muscle, so it’s going to be more flavorful. Our steaks have phenomenal marbling in them.”

No matter what cut of steak the customer prefers, Bob’s has a variety to choose from on the menu. Choices include the prime T-bone, New York strip, prime porterhouse, prime ribeye, and the ever-popular filet mignon. For a customer who wants something other than steak, Bob’s Steak & Chop House also has pork chops, rack of lamb, veal bone-in rib chop, roasted duck and fresh seafood.

“People love the lamb here,” said Ferrell. "We also change our seafood daily. We always have salmon but we change our two features as well.”

Aside from the impeccable steaks and seafood, Bob’s Steak & Chop House also has 541 wine selections to choose. A main focus at Bob’s is portion size, for both food and drinks, so that each customer can get the most out of their dining experience. Their slogan, after all, is “Our steaks are prime, our portions big & our drinks stiff.”

“Dining out is an experience,” said Ferrell. “You’re paying not just for the food, but also for the experience, and we provide a phenomenal experience. When you come here, the three things that drive restaurants are food, service and atmosphere. Our food is phenomenal, we pay immense attention to our service, and we have an upscale atmosphere unlike anything else that I’ve seen in The Woodlands. I think we capture all three of those things.”

For Ferrell, the most rewarding part of his job at Bob's Steak & Chop House is seeing the staff members develop and grow.

“Our executive chef used to be a line cook. It’s all about developing people and seeing them get more out of life.”

Ferrell also enjoys witnessing customers continuing to come back to eat at their favorite traditional American Prime Steakhouse.

“There is a couple that comes here every Tuesday and Saturday and another couple that comes every Friday, and we have become friends. It definitely says that we’re doing something right,” said Ferrell. “It’s good to see that they have trust and faith in us, and that we’re going to deliver something that they’re going to keep coming back for.”

Ferrell recommends that reservations be made at least 24 hours ahead of time, either by calling 281-292-BOBS (2627) or by visiting the website. If making a reservation for dinner on a weekend, it would be best to make reservations 2-3 days beforehand. Valentine’s Day is nearing, and Bob’s will start filling up fast so don’t forget to make your reservation with that special someone on Febraury 14! Private dining space is also available at Bob’s for business events, birthday parties or get-togethers.

Bob’s Steak & Chop House is closed on Sunday, but their hours of operation are listed below:

Monday-Thursday: 5:00p.m. -- 10:00p.m.

At Bob’s Steak & Chop House, the overall goal is to serve food of the upmost quality while providing customers with a unique dining experience unlike any other.

“When people come in, we want to see them happy. That’s what we get out of the experience. It’s all about the people. We want them to have a good time.”
