“This conference really is an amazing resource for our community, “ said Pastor Carrier.

This is the 3rd annual Reasons Conference which has a goal of creating discussion around whether Christianity is in fact “reasonable”. In the two prior conferences, Christianity has been examined philosophically and scientifically, bringing in many experts in those fields to make a case. This third conference, from a historical perspective, will cover the background of the Bible. Where did it originate? Did the scribes corrupt the manuscripts? If so, how much did they corrupt them? If not, how can we be assured of that? The scholars will lay out the facts and be prepared to answer challenging questions.

An eclectic crowd is anticipated, consisting of ministers from other faiths, seminarians, those of strong faith, skeptics, and high school students. A minimum age recommendation would be 16. The cost of the conference is as follows: Single: $60, Couples: $90, Students: $40.

“We welcome people of all faiths...those who use the Bible daily to guide their lives, those who have lost hope and need guidance, and even the skeptics,” said Pastor Carrier. “For those who have questions, we’ll have answers, and the answers are solid.”
