2015 pool season begins on Saturday, May 9

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The 2015 Pool Season is about to begin, with nine of the Township’s 14 community pools set to open on May 9, 2015. Get your Season Pool Passes now by visiting or calling The Woodlands Recreation Center and avoid waiting in line at the pool.

For new season pool passes, pictures must be taken at The Woodlands Recreation Center, located at 5310 Research Forest Drive (in Bear Branch Park) within one week of purchasing a new pass. Hours of Operation are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Season passes for all pools are now available for sale online and in person or by phone to The Woodlands Township Recreation Center for both residents and non-residents. These passes can be purchased by residents for $40 for ages three to 64, $15 for those 65 and older, and just $6 for children younger than two. After purchasing four full-price ($40) passes, residents can purchase additional passes for just $15 each for others in the same household. For non-residents, the price is $30 for children younger than two and $120 for those ages three and older. There is no additional family member or senior discount.

For guests visiting The Woodlands and residents who only use the pools occasionally, punch cards good for six visits are available for purchase. These cards are $30 for residents and allow access to 13 pools, excluding the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center, $40 for residents with access to the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center, and $55 for non-residents for the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center only.

The pre-season facilities for 2015 are: Alden Bridge, Bear Branch, Cranebrook, Falconwing, Harper’s Landing, Ridgewood, Sawmill and Wendtwoods – along with the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center. Each of these locations will be open beginning Saturday, May 9, 2015, for the pre-season from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

All 14 Township pools will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 24, and again for the regular season beginning Friday, June 5, which continues through August 23, 2015.

For young families, and those looking for a mid-week escape, the Bear Branch pool is also open on weekday afternoons (except Wednesdays) from noon to 6 p.m. beginning on May 18, 2015, until the start of the regular season.

New for 2015, all Township pools are now able to accept credit cards for all transactions. Cash and check are also still accepted.
