To The Editor:

Vote NO for Noack

Having a loved one who was a long time employee of Montgomery County Precinct 3 at the time Commissioner Ed Chance retired and James Noack was elected to the office, I had a bird’s eye view and insight into how he operates. It isn’t a pretty picture and here’s why:

Poor Judgment and lack of common sense – Not only had he never held public office and knew little about county government, he hired a recent 22 old college graduate with zero employment experience to be his chief of staff to operate the precinct. Talk about the blind leading the blind. This lasted about two years before this individual left his job. Exact reasons unknown.

Treatment of Women – His vindictiveness against older women employees of the precinct has been well documented. It resulted in two EEOC complaints against the county, one of which cost the county extensive legal fees and a $26,000 settlement paid by the county taxpayers. The other remains pending. Although two other women declined to file complaints, their work environment caused them to retire. One was threatened with the loss of her pension if she filed such a complaint and the other decided the stress caused by the vindictiveness was adversely affecting her health.

Lack of Trustworthiness – When this rogue commissioner cast a vote in open court which apparently wasn’t pleasing to a few of his Tea Party Patriot supporters, he got the written record of the Commissioner’s Court meeting and took it from the court house to physically change the record, but was discovered and stopped before being able to complete the alteration.

Inability to Work with Others – This commissioner is disliked by all other members of Commissioners Court and unable to work with them and others to forward the business of the county. This also rings true with a large majority of other county officeholders. Just ask one you know. Constant conflict with the Commissioner of Harris County Precinct 4, which abuts our Precinct 3, has resulted in constant discord and lack of cooperation and communication on several projects of mutual benefit to both counties.

Open Carry – Recently, this commissioner voted to have county employees openly carry guns while at work, a motion which was rejected 4 – 1 by the Court.

Under Grand Jury Investigation – Let’s don’t forget Commissioner Noack is presently under investigation by a sitting grand jury for alleged violation of the open meetings act. Stay tuned.

We, the citizens of Precinct 3, desserve better representation in our commissioner’s office. He is an embarrassment to the whole county. Let’s admit this elected official was a poor choice and rectify this mistake.

I’m supporting and voting for JAY MAC SANDERS and hope you will join me in doing so.
