THE WOODLANDS, Texas - It was 30 years ago that one of the oldest and most successful small businesses in The Woodlands opened its doors. Robichau’s Jewelry store was nestled in what was then, the southwest corner of The Woodlands at the end of Sawdust Road.

From our family to yours, thank you for allowing us to continue to do what we love while carrying on the dream that our parents had 30 years ago.

The Robichaus recant how local banks must have thought it was some kind of April Fool’s joke that a local family wanted to open a jewelry store, and when they were unable to get a business loan, they did what families do, they banded together to make it a reality.

Jack and Lynda Robichau opened the doors April 1, 1986, with display cases filled with wax molds, and a dozen pieces of jewelry, most of which belonged to Lynda. With the assistance of Jack’s brother, Ray, the family already had fifteen years experience in the jewelry industry that they leveraged to offer custom-made jewelry, designer watches, and full service jewelry and watch repair. Word soon spread about their creative artistry, attention to detail, and their reasonable prices and services.

“We have always maintained that if we treat our customers right, they will spread the word, and they have!” says John and Matt Robichau, the next generation of jewelers who are now perpetuating the family’s legacy.

Growth in The Woodlands has enabled Robichau’s Jewelry to expand the size of the business, so much so, that they relocated to the Panther Creek Village Shopping Center just a few years ago.

The Robichaus have embraced the evolution of technology; conceptualizing jewelry design by using a unique 3D Jewelry Design System that enables the customer to see and touch their custom jewelry before it’s cast. Robichau's Jewelry is the only Woodlands jeweler to offer same-day custom jewelry models.

“We can design a piece of jewelry and have the wax model available within one business day,” say the Robichau brothers.

Other value-added amenities include exceptional watch repair, and estate jewelry for vintage and antique jewelry collectors. Customers have reciprocated their appreciation for these services by voting Robichau’s Jewelry Best Jewelry Store in The Woodlands for the past four years in Woodlands Online’s Best of the Woodlands annual contest.

To commemorate their 30th Anniversary, not only will Robichau’s Jewelry be giving a 30 percent discount on all store merchandise for the entire month of April, they will be giving away two great gifts to two great customers...a Seiko watch (valued at $575), and a $1,000 Robichau’s Jewelry gift certificate. Share a story, experience, or piece of jewelry that you purchased from Robichau’s Jewelry on their Facebook page, and you will be entered into a drawing for the Seiko watch. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, April 30th at 2:00 p.m. The $1,000 Robichau’s Jewelry gift certificate will be given out to the person who shares a story, experience, or piece of jewelry on their Facebook page and gets the most “likes” for their post. (The “likes” must occur on the Facebook page so that theycan easily be tracked to determine the winner.) This contest will also end on April 30th at 2:00 p.m.

Several other family members are also involved in the day-to-day operation of the business located at 4775 W Panther Creek Drive, Suite 245, on the north side of the Woodlands Parkway between Gosling and West Panther Creek. Store hours are Monday - Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
