Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital welcomes new reconstructive surgeons

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Houston Methodist Institute for Reconstructive Surgery in The Woodlands has recently opened in Medical Office Building 1 on the campus of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, located on the southeast Corner of I-45 and Highway 242 in The Woodlands.

S. Benjamin Albright, M.D., a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, joined Houston Methodist Institute for Reconstructive Surgery in 2014 and saw patients at the Institute’s locations in the Texas Medical Center, Katy and Baytown, until the Institute’s new offices opened in The Woodlands at the beginning of 2017.

Steven L. Gordon, M.D., a fellowship trained plastic and hand surgeon, joined the team in September 2017.

The doctors and their staff provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art care including body contour restoration; breast reconstruction; facial paralysis surgery and functional restoration; extremity wound reconstruction; microsurgical reconstruction; and facial rejuvenation. Dr. Gordon provides hand and forearm surgery.

Dr. Albright has a special interest in reconstructive surgery, particularly implant-based and autologous breast reconstruction including microsurgery, and aesthetic surgery such as body contouring following massive weight loss, breast lift and augmentation, abdominoplasty and liposuction. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a graduate of Stanford University, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, and completed his residency in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Gordon’s hand surgery expertise includes carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, tendonitis of the hand and forearm, arthritis and degenerative changes of the hand and wrist, as well as aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He graduated from Southern Methodist University, earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and a fellowship at The Hand Center of San Antonio.
