THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Rubicon Academy had their 2nd Annual theatrical performance on May 15 under the direction of Terry Woods, drama coach, involving students aging from 2-14 in various roles in Willy Wonka Jr.

Students had roles ranging from the younger children playing the colorful Oompa Loopmas and squirrels, to children that won the “Golden Ticket” to have the opportunity to visit the Chocolate Factory, the roles of Mr. Bucket, Mrs. Bucket, the older grandparents of Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe, and of course Willy Wonka, aka the Candy Man.

Sweet job by all!

The Rubicon Academy was founded in 1998 and they are celebrating 30 years of providing a challenging and enjoyable education for bright and talented children aged 2-18 years old. A small student ratio of 1:8 allows individual attention to keep children motivated and challenged. All students are taught Spanish, to play an instrument and perform, engineering/advanced science programs, and how to compete academically. Many summer programs are offered to keep the child engaged through the summer at any age.
