SUGAR LAND, TX - The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information concerning the theft of a trailer in the Sugar Land area.

During the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2019, unknown suspects drove a pickup truck into a property and stole a utility trailer. The trailer was parked on the north side of the business, which is located in the 16300 block of West Belfort Road.

Surveillance cameras observed a dark color newer model Chevrolet truck pull up to the locked perimeter fence and gate. The suspects cut the lock on the gate with a cut-off saw.

The suspects then cut the lock off the trailer and attached it to their truck and drove away.

There were three suspects in the theft, but their faces and descriptions could not be determined because their faces were covered. The late model Chevrolet truck was painted dark and the rims were painted black as well.

“It took these guys exactly seven minutes to enter a locked facility, attach the trailer onto their truck and leave the area,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “We must be vigilant as much as possible to prevent burglaries like these. They studied this place. They knew the trailer was there and knew it could be taken quickly.

“Someone knows these guys. If you notice your neighbor has a new trailer in his driveway, give us a call and earn some honest cash.”
