MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- Brittney Bates has been chosen by the Montgomery County Women’s Center (MCWC) as its Woman of Distinction for 2019.

She will be recognized at the Women of Distinction Luncheon, to be hosted by the Montgomery County Women’s Council of Organizations (MCWCO) on Friday, May 3 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. Each year, the MCWCO comes together for the Women of Distinction Luncheon to celebrate all the many accomplishments provided by volunteers of local charitable organizations. The goal of the luncheon is to shine a light on a specific volunteer from a local nonprofit agency. Each nonprofit agency votes on one volunteer they feel has gone above and beyond the call of duty for the agency. Most candidates are selected based on their volunteerism and service to the community.

“Brittney has been an avid supporter of our mission to end domestic violence, and she has made such a difference within just six months of becoming involved with our organization,” said Sarah Raleigh, President and CEO of MCWC. “We are thrilled to recognize her as the 2019 Woman of Distinction for The Montgomery County Women’s Center.”

Brittney Bates is Mrs. Texas United States 2018, director/co-owner of the Miss Texas United States Pageant, and is employed as a sales executive for Chicago Title. As an advocate for abused women and children, she spends most of her time volunteering for the Montgomery County Women’s Center. Brittney and her husband, Zachary, reside in The Woodlands. When she isn’t working, directing the pageant or working out, Brittney enjoys spending time being an aunt and attending car shows with her husband.

The Montgomery County Women’s Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a United Way agency whose mission is to lead the effort in preventing domestic violence and sexual assault through crisis intervention, assistance, advocacy, empowerment and social change.
