The Walk 2026 Breaks Records, Raising $785,000 for Interfaith of The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- It was a record-breaking night of fashion, philanthropy and generosity as The Walk: The Art of Giving 2026 raised an incredible $785,000 in support of Interfaith of The Woodlands, marking the most successful The Walk to date.
More than 730 guests filled The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center on Saturday, August 22, for an unforgettable Black & White Ball, proudly presented by Sewell Automotive and Wells Fargo. Dressed in stunning shades of black and white, guests came together for an evening that celebrated style, community and, most importantly, the mission of Interfaith of The Woodlands.
Event Co-Chairs Kim Bonilla and Tina Goodson helped bring the vision of The Walk’s Black & White Ball to life, creating an unforgettable evening from beginning to end. Johanna Terry Events transformed the ballroom with an iconic runway stage and stunning black-and-white chandeliers, while dramatic florals by Piney Rose Flowers and Décor pulled the room together. The spectacular backdrop set the stage for a high-energy runway show featuring looks from Pell 1990, Suitsupply and Thomas Markle Jewelers.
The runway show concluded with an electric finale as The Walk’s 2026 Community Champions took the stage: Linsey and Ryan Bibler, Cindy and Craig Heiser, Jo Anne and Troy Johnson, Kristen Byrnes and Carrie Greenberg, and Jill Simms and Sondra Lagasse. Their walk served as a powerful reminder of the people who champion Interfaith’s mission and help strengthen the community through their generosity, leadership and service.
The evening’s fundraising continued with an exciting live auction, led by volunteer auctioneer Will Murphy, featuring extraordinary experiences and one-of-a-kind packages. Guests enthusiastically bid on items including dinner for eight at the highly anticipated Bar Bludorn, an Argentina Red Stag Hunt for two, a Texas Red Dudley Labrador, a Hearts On Fire Diamond Bracelet from Thomas Markle, and spectacular travel experiences, helping drive the evening toward its record-breaking total.
Another highlight of the night was the crowning of Laura and David Piccione as the 2026 The Walk Icons. The Walk Icon competition alone raised $16,258, with every dollar representing a vote in support of Interfaith. As this year’s winners, Laura and David selected Interfaith’s Kits 4 Kids Program to receive the funds raised through the competition, helping provide local students in need with backpacks and school supplies as they prepare for a successful school year.
“The incredible generosity we experienced at The Walk is a powerful reflection of how deeply this community believes in the mission of Interfaith,” said Missy Herndon, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “As the need for crisis assistance continues to grow for families and seniors in our area, the funds raised will have a tremendous impact on our ability to serve our neighbors when they need us most. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this record-breaking evening possible and continues to stand alongside Interfaith in caring for our community.”
Proceeds from The Walk directly support Interfaith of The Woodlands and its Programs and Services, providing critical assistance to families, seniors and individuals experiencing crisis throughout South Montgomery County. From food and emergency financial assistance to Senior Services, school supplies and other essential resources, funds raised through The Walk will help Interfaith continue meeting the growing needs of the community.
Interfaith extends its deepest gratitude to Wells Fargo, Presenting Sponsor, and Sewell Automotive, Exclusive Automotive Presenting Sponsor, of The Walk; St. Luke’s Health, Community Champions Sponsor; Friends of The Walk, The Walk Icon Sponsor, Event Co-Chairs Kim Bonilla and Tina Goodson, Community Champions, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and every guest whose generosity made the record-breaking evening possible.
What began as a fun night of giving ended as a vibrant display of what has defined Interfaith of The Woodlands for 53 years: neighbors helping neighbors.
