CONROE, TX - On March 3, 2020, Montgomery County Texas Precinct 1 voters will decide on their next County Commissioner. The vote requires residents to choose the best qualified candidate with a history of successful leadership, experience managing a multi-million dollar business, and the ethical behavior which everyone demands.

John Davis grew up in Houston, Texas and has lived in Montgomery County for 20 years. He attended the University of Houston and finished at the University of Phoenix with an undergraduate degree in Information Technology and Business Systems. Debbie Davis and John have been married for 28 years, with a 22-year old son, Blake. Blake, and his wife Ashley, are attending Sam Houston State University to become schoolteachers. Their passion is to shape the future leaders of Montgomery County to be influential in our country.

John has expertise in finance, managing large projects from design to completion, administration, transparency, and promotes ethical behavior within his team through leading by example. Mastery skills include communication, transparency, managing a fiscally conservative budget, and collaboration with teams. He currently manages multi-million-dollar projects and Debbie takes pride in being with the children as a school bus driver for Montgomery ISD. They attended Magnolia Bible Church for 13 years and served in Ministry Leadership with the men, women and youth groups. Recently moving to Montgomery on Lake Conroe, they have been visiting Lonestar Cowboy Church and Lakeside Bible church.

John has many concerns with the county management that got him interested in making a difference through local governance. “There are 3 objectives to my campaign: Ethics Reform, modifying policy that restores ethics, morals, transparency, integrity and most of all TRUST. Secondly, Budget Reform utilizing the new ERP system effectively and managing the funds as directly by voter’s needs. Lastly, Appraisal Reform to change the process and escalating property values. Working together we can make a difference!”

Precinct 1 in Montgomery County is rapidly growing. Subdivisions, retail, and corporations are coming to the area. Expansion is underway on FM 830, League Line Road, FM 3083, and in Montgomery. The community needs to work together on these projects to support the growth of our community, spend wisely, and keep our beautiful precinct a place to raise a family.

John cares about the community and has relationships partnering with the Montgomery County Food Bank and Community Assistance Center (CAC) to assist with events throughout the year. Back to School will be here soon and John is again partnering with CAC to sponsor a Backpack and School Supplies Drive in various locations. Details will be shared on his Facebook page.

“As your County Commissioner, we will work together to lower taxes by taking control of the “out of control property appraisals” and project spending. Budget planning that makes sense for the current fiscal year. Contracts and employment opportunities are for those most qualified. It’s time for Montgomery County to live within their means!”
