Dr. Hannah Shelton started her business, Advocate Direct Care, in the Fall of 2018 and recently acquired a new office at 303 Longmire Road, Suite 501 in Conroe behind the Conroe High School football stadium in the Brownstone Office Condos. Every monthly membership includes unlimited visits without copays for office visits or procedures. Simple stitches, cryotherapy, injections, prescriptions, and EKG’s are handled in the office at no cost, while external lab work, MRI’s, and other external imaging is negotiated at up to 90% discounts! A monthly fee for a child or youth under 18 years of age is $20 a month, $50 a month for adults up to age 44, 45 years to 64 age adults is $75 each month, and seniors 65 and older are $100 a month! That is affordable!

The current fee for service model of medicine prevents Dr. Shelton from practicing medicine the way she learned from her grandfather 40 years ago. He would visit his patients with a leather bag and take care of their needs in a personal, caring manner. “I hope to return primary care to its roots with a direct, uninterrupted relationship between doctor and patient”, said Dr. Shelton. Dr. Shelton has vowed to keep the practice at a manageable level to maintain personalized care for all patients. New patients are encouraged to schedule appointments before the level of care reaches capacity.

Dr. Shelton was raised in the Dallas area and ran cross country while attending Highland Park High School. She received her degree in psychology from the University of Georgia and her master’s degree in Texas in Biomedical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. She loves living in Montgomery County and learned a lot while completing her residency in Conroe at Lone Star Family Clinic. Dr. Shelton is a member of the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery County Association of Business Women.

Her business is growing through referrals from patients but there is never a wait to get an appointment or to receive communication back from the doctor.
