THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Bands will be rocking and beer will be flowing at the Woodforest Craft Fest, noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Christine Allen Nature Park, 5831 Woodforest Parkway South in Woodforest.

The foamy fall festival, now in its 3rd year, will feature samples from more than 30 breweries for guests 21 years and older as well as music by country music artist Curtis Grimes and acid funk-soulgrass Americana band Chubby Knuckle Choir.

Admission is $25 for those age 21 and older and $10 for eventgoers under 21. Firefighters get in free. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.woodforestcraftfest.com or at the event.

“Craft Fest is a family-friendly event people look forward to every year,” said Virgil Yoakum, general manager for Woodforest. “There will be plenty of activities for the kids. Our beer garden is back so adults can purchase a full glass of beer or a margarita, kick back and listen to some great tunes.”

The list of local breweries offering free samples of lagers, ales and stouts includes Bearded Fox Brewing Company, B-52 Brewing Company, Karbach Brewing Company, 8th Wonder Brewery, No Label Brewing Co., Cyclers Brewing and Back Pew Brewing, among others.

Guests also have an opportunity to sample Austin Eastciders hard cider. Southern Rum Runners returns with margaritas for sale.

Additional activities include a giant slide, maze, inflatables, face painting, pet adoptions, lawn games, food trucks and vendors.

Attendees can also take a community bus tour to explore 22 professionally decorated model homes.

Woodforest is located seven miles west of Interstate 45 between Conroe and The Woodlands. Homes are priced from the $190,000s to $2 million plus.
