Top 5 Things to Do This Week in The Woodlands for the Week of November 11

THE WOODLANDS, TX – With today being Veteran's Day, Woodlands Online would like to send a special “Thank You” to all those who have served. We appreciate your service to our country. Here's our picks of the top five things to do in The Woodlands.

On Monday, November 11, The Woodlands Township would like to invite all to their annual Veteran's Day Tribute. The event begins at 4:30 PM at Town Green Park and is open to the public. There will be a special Presentation of the Colors, a keynote speaker and opportunities for community members to drop off care packages for our troops.

The John Cooper School will be hosting an informational day on Tuesday, November 12 at 8:45 AM for parents who are considering enrolling their children for the 2020-2021 school year. Division Heads from the Upper, Middle and Lower Schools will give informative presentations and tours. Parents are invited to meet with administrators to learn more about the curriculum and programs offered at the college preparatory day school that is a recognized leader in independent school education.

On Wednesday, November 13, join Avante Laser & MediSpa for their informational session and discussion on ways to help to cope with stress during the holidays. Learn about the latest beauty trends and receive 10 FREE units of Newtox. There will be two sessions: Lunch-n-Learn from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and the Evening Event from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Wine and lite bites will be served. Seating is limited, so RSVP today.

Chick-fil-a in Magnolia invites the public to attend their 5th Annual Night of Heroes event on Thursday, November 14 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Meet local law enforcement and emergency personnel serving in Magnolia, The Woodlands, and Montgomery County (including Memorial Hermann LifeFlight) and get a close-up look at the vehicles they use to do their jobs.

It's that time of year again! The Woodlands Ice Rink is about to open to the public and the Strong Firm would like to invite residents to attend the Ice Rink VIP Preview Party on Friday, November 15 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Admission prices are as follows: $25 for adults 18+, $15 for children under 18 and free admission for children under four years old. A family package may be purchased for $75. All proceeds benefit Yes to Youth.
