Dan Lefort Joins Kean Miller in Houston

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Kean Miller is pleased to announce the addition of The Woodlands resident Daniel P. LeFort as of counsel in Houston, Texas. With more than 40-years of corporate legal and private practice experience, including almost twenty-years as in-house counsel for major domestic and international energy companies, Dan regularly advises U.S. and foreign companies on the development of energy-related projects in the liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemical, oil & gas, and electric utility sectors. Dan joins Kean Miller from the Houston office of K&L Gates LLP where he practiced in the energy, infrastructure and resources group.

Dan LeFort draws on more than four decades of experience as counsel to energy sector clients in connection with LNG facility development and sales contracts, upstream matters including oil and gas leases, production sharing and concession agreements, farm-ins and farm-outs, joint operating agreements and landowner disputes; midstream projects involving offtake agreements, natural gas pipelines, crude oil and gas processing facilities; and downstream refineries and petrochemical plants.

Mr. LeFort earned his B.A. from Louisiana State University and earned his J.D. from the LSU Law Center. His career has taken him all over the world on behalf of his clients, including periods living in Indonesia, Japan and the Middle East.
