The Woodlands Boys 35, Klein Oak 30

A low-scoring, slower-paced game on Friday night, but both teams picked up the energy in crunch time. Cole Himmer came up with some big buckets on his way to a team-leading 14 points. Brock Luchetefeld caused problems in the paint on his way to 8 points. A pair of clutch free throws from Peyton Mattingly sealed the win in the first District 15-6A game of the season. New Caney 77, Caney Creek Girls 45

Kingwood Park 44, Grand Oaks Girls 39

A 4th quarter push by K-Park was enough to get past the Grizzlies. Grand Oaks falls to 1-3 in the district. Next Game: vs Huntsville - 12/17

College Park Boys 77, Klein Collins 57

The Cavs win their district opener thanks to 19 points from Drew Calderon, 11 from Markel James, and 10 from Ty Buckmon. Next Game: vs Klein Forest - 12/17

Conroe Boys 51, Klein Cain 44

The Tigers start their district campaign with a win. Michael Phoenix and David Sanchez led the way with 12 points. Seven total players contributed to the team’s fifth win of the year. Next Game: @ Klein - 12/16

Conroe Girls 29, Klein Cain 22

Lilly Rodel’s nine points helped the Tigers move to 3-0 in District 15-6A. Next Game: vs Klein - 12/16

Klein Forest 70, Oak Ridge Boys 55

Griffin Datcher IV dropped 28 but it wasn’t enough as big runs from Klein Forest in the 2nd and 4th quarter put the Ridge too far behind. Next Game: vs King - 12/16

Oak Ridge Girls 64, Klein Forest 40

The hot start continues for the War Eagles. Behind 28 points from Mersadez Nephew and nine from Logan Fuller and Nikki Petrakovitz, Oak Ridge moves to 17-2 and 3-0 in the district. Next Game: @ College Park - 12/19
