Space Center Houston Closure Through April 12

HOUSTON, TX – In response to the latest city, state and federal guidelines, we have decided to extend Space Center Houston’s closure to the general public through Sunday, April 12. The health and safety of our guests, employees, volunteers and local community is our utmost priority.

Given the evolving nature of the COVID-19 outbreak, we will carefully reassess the situation in the coming weeks and share any additional updates?on our website (spacecenter.org) and social media feeds (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) as they become available. We will not reopen until we can safely welcome back guests and our team.

The closure includes regular operating hours and all public, education, and private programs and events. Ticketholders for public, private and education programs scheduled during our closure will be provided with the options of rescheduling for a date after we reopen or receiving a refund.

As a nonprofit organization that exists to bring dynamic science and exploration learning to the public, our goal will be to continue to inspire all generations through the wonders of space exploration and to do our part to keep our community connected during this difficult time.

Throughout our closure, we will work hard and creatively to bring Space Center Houston to the public. We will continue to offer compelling new informative and educational content on our social media feeds and our content-rich website, which includes daily blog postings on a wide range of space-related topics and an archive of our Thought Leader Series, presented by UTMB Health. Our Thought Leader Series consists of presentations and panel discussions featuring the best and brightest minds examining the significance of historic missions, sharing the latest news in space exploration and looking ahead to the future of space travel.
