Local Colleges and Universities Receive Portion of Federal $12.5 Billion Stimulus Package
THE WOODLANDS, TX - According to Open the Books, on online website used to track almost everything to do with government money and budgets, a handful of Southeast Texas colleges and universities received a portion of the recent $12.5 billion federal stimulus package.
Out of the total package, Lone Star College received an allocation of $28,823,255.00. Here is how a few other universities stacked up:
- Texas A&M University - Total Allocation: $39,816,443.00
- University Of Texas At Austin - Total Allocation: $31,462,321.00
- Sam Houston State University - Total Allocation: $17,468,204.00
- Stephen F Austin State University - Total Allocation: $10,525,078.00
- University Of Houston - Total Allocation: $36,703,283.00
- University Of Houston - Downtown - Total Allocation: $9,456,650.00
- University Of Houston - Clear Lake - Total Allocation: $5,555,369.00
- Rice University - Total Allocation: $3,433,160.00
- Houston Baptist University - Total Allocation: $2,615,603.00
