American Freight Donates $3000 in Appliances to Local Fire Stations

CANEY CREEK, TX - As part of its July 4th Grand Opening celebration, American Freight of Spring (formerly Sears Outlet) is spending this summer giving back to the community that it calls home. To celebrate the July 4th holiday, American Freight is working with the Caney Creek Fire & Rescue to provide thousands of dollars in station upgrades. This donation is part of a nationwide effort to donate more than $100,000 to communities and fire stations across the country.

The home retailer, known for its unbeatable prices on trusted name brands, recently worked hand-in-hand with Caney Creek Fire & Rescue to provide $3,000 worth of appliances, more specifically washers and dryers. The department was desperately in need of new appliances and was thrilled when they were able to save thousands of dollars after learning of the donation. Caney Creek Fire & Rescue is one of 25 fire departments across the United States receiving similar donations from American Freight.

“Even during a pandemic, our local fire fighters are on the front lines every day, protecting our community. This is just one small way that we can say thank you to our heroes,” said Regional Manager Mark Jones, “For many first responders, their workplace is like their home. We want to add comfort to their days and nights, just like they have for us by serving on the frontlines.”

In February 2020, American Freight combined with Sears Outlet, a leading national discount retailer of home appliances, to create American Freight Furniture Mattress Appliance. Spring area stores are celebrating the newly re-branded American Freight, now with over 300 locations, with a two week Grand Opening Savings Event, from June 25 – July 9.
