THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The top four volleyball teams in District 13-6A were Conroe ISD schools, and on Thursday night, all four teams won their bi-district matches to advance to the Area Round.

Grand Oaks 3, Spring 0

The Grizzlies won 25-19, 25-14, 25-14.

After a 7-3 district season in their first 6A season, Grand Oaks picked up their first 6A playoff victory with a strong showing in three sets over Spring.

The Grizzlies had a few hiccups that found themselves trailing early in set one, but after a timeout, the Grizzlies came to life. With Sarah Sampson, Aidan Ballard, and Fallon Thompson leading the way, Grand Oaks quickly regained the lead and never looked back on their way to a win in the opening set.

That trio continued to dominate throughout the game and despite some pushback by the Lions at times in sets two and three, the Grizzlies were unfazed on their way to the first round sweep.
