THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Effective September 1, 2021, your water bill will reflect a $0.15 increase in the Surface Water Conversion (SWC) fee. The rate will go from $2.88 to $3.03 per thousand gallons (a 5% increase).
The increase is driven by ongoing litigation and contract payment disputes with Conroe, Magnolia, and several private water system owners - all advocates for more groundwater pumping. The increase will help ensure our $500 million investment in a surface water delivery system remains viable.
