Local 'Walk for Alzheimer's' Team Takes a Big Step
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Last weekend, nearly three dozen people joined together into a single team with a single purpose: to walk and raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease. Thirty-three local residents - including staff from Woodlands Online - banded together to form the 'Houston Lampposts' team and gathered near the Branch Crossing YMCA to honor and remember friends and family who have suffered through Alzheimer's, followed by a walk that raised thousands of dollars for the
'I appreciate tremendous support I received from all the team members for the Alzheimer’s Walk we held,' said team organizer Mae Sheffield. 'We collected almost $4,000.00 for the cause. Thanks so much to all who donated and showed up early on a Saturday morning.'
