Wine tends to be showcased during Easter festivities, so get into the spirit by taking a trip to Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen at Market Street for their Wine Lovers Night. Love wine? Enjoy $10 off any bottle under $100, and 10% off any bottle over $100. If you need a little more inspiration, explore their wine list at or ask one of their three sommeliers for suggestions to determine what goes best with some great traditional New Orleans dishes.

Thursday, April 14
Not only is the creation of pottery an activity that stretches back thousands of years, but it’s also a great form of tactile fun. Hum “Unchained Melody” in your head as you head over to Cordovan Art School for their Pottery Wheel & Clay Art Class for Adults. Join in this class to learn about the different stages clay goes through during the making process, as well as the tools and techniques used to create wheel thrown and hand-built pottery. They'll teach you how to design and glaze your pieces, and you’ll be able to use everything you make once you’ve finished.

Thursday-Sunday, April 14-17
While practically every house of worship is having special celebrations this weekend, The Woodlands Methodist Church is providing four straight days of special Easter activities and services. Tonight will be Maundy Thursday services commemorating the Last Supper (“Maundy” comes from a Latin word meaning “command,” denoting the instructions given to the disciples). Good Friday, the next day, will include a fish fry at 5:00 pm followed by a worship service. Saturday sees a modern worship service in the church’s Loft that includes contemporary music, and Easter Sunday will include three traditional services and four contemporary services.

Sunday, April 16
While the full-tilt Memorial Hermann IRONMAN competition is taking place next weekend, today is a special activity day for the kiddos with the Children's Memorial Hermann IRONKIDS Texas 2022, starting at 9:30 in the morning. Ages 1-17 are invited to join in the fun at Town Green Park with only a $20 registration fee.
