THE WOODLANDS, TX – We managed to survive last evening’s raging storms that put the entire Woodlands area and Montgomery County on edge. Hopefully, your roofs are intact and your trees are still standing and no one ventured out onto the slick roads.

Thursday night was intense enough to give us a weekend of respite

The weather gremlins have decided to give us all a break this weekend from the storms. From now until Monday, the chance of additional rain is slight with nary a thunder-rumble within earshot.

Today, the high will venture up to 93 at about 5 o’clock this afternoon, then the degrees will lessen bit by bit until they settle into an overnight low of 70. Any cloud cover from last night’s storms will have dissipated into partly cloudy skies all day.

Friday night into Saturday morning will be relatively quiet; clouds will return in the morning and there will be about a ten percent chance of rain off and on, but for the most part once again expect partly cloudy skies and a high in the lower 90s. The overnight low will be a tad warmer than the night before, hovering around 73 degrees.

Right around sunrise on Sunday morning, we will see the overnight cloud buildup go away for yet another day of partly cloudy skies, a slim-to-none chance of rain, and a high stretching into the upper 90s. Once the Sunday-to-Monday low hits the mid 70s, you can expect a repeat on Monday morning.

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
