Saturday's Weather Update: The Woodlands Express Bus will not operate on Monday
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing after 3 a.m. overnight, creating icy roadway conditions and an increased risk of freezing pipes. Residents who have not already taken steps to protect their pipes should do so now by insulating exposed pipes and covering outdoor faucets.
Residents are encouraged to avoid travel on Sunday if possible. Temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing during the day and a hard freeze is expected again overnight Monday night, which may further impact road conditions and Township services.

Public safety officials remind residents to call 9-1-1 for emergencies only to help keep phone lines available for those who need immediate assistance.
Use space heaters safely by keeping them at least three feet away from flammable materials and never leaving them unattended. Never use generators, grills or outdoor heating devices indoors due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
When using a wood-burning fireplace, burn only hardwoods and remember ashes can remain hot enough to start a fire up to 48 hours later. Dispose of ashes in a metal container with water, and never place them in plastic trash cans.
