THE WOODLANDS, TX – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Texas (Habitat MCTX) is thrilled to announce the outstanding success of its Hats for Homes event held last week, an evening filled with music, artistry, community spirit, and heartfelt generosity. The event raised nearly $100,000 to support the 2026 Building Hope Gala, Casa de Corazón, advancing Habitat MCTX’s mission of building safe, affordable housing for local families.

Hosted by David and Laura Piccione, the event brought together supporters from across Montgomery County for a memorable evening of philanthropy and celebration. Habitat MCTX extends its deepest gratitude to the Picciones for opening their home and their hearts to this mission.

Guests enjoyed an unforgettable private concert experience featuring celebrated Texas artists Pat Green and Walt Wilkins, whose performances brought energy, warmth, and inspiration to the evening.

Culinary highlights included mouthwatering burgers prepared by Chef Austin Simmons, whose creative menu and exceptional flavors were widely praised by attendees.

Adding an element of fun and personal style, the Flea Style Hat Bar delighted guests as they customized one-of-a-kind hats that embodied the spirit of “Hats for Homes.”

The night also featured a luxury raffles, which helped elevate the event’s fundraising impact. Habitat MCTX thanks the generous raffle prize donors, including:

  • BMW of The Woodlands
  • David and Laura Piccione
  • Drybar of The Woodlands

Their contributions helped create an exciting experience that further supported Habitat’s mission.

Most importantly, Habitat MCTX extends heartfelt appreciation to every guest, donor, partner, and volunteer whose participation helped make the evening such a success. Because of this collective generosity, more Montgomery County families will have the opportunity to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership.

“What a truly incredible evening,” said the Habitat MCTX leadership team. “The spirit of community was alive in every detail, from the performers to the sponsors to every person who came together in support of affordable housing. Hats for Homes was not only a joyful celebration, but a deeply impactful fundraiser for our mission.”
