Kyle Watson Announces Bid for The Woodlands Township Director

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Kyle Watson, a local husband, father, and attorney, today announced his campaign for Township Director, seeking to restore accountability to a board that went against public opinion last year when it attempted to incorporate The Woodlands, a measure that lost at the ballot box by almost a 7-3 margin.

“The Township Board of Directors must be a place for those who truly listen to residents and care about what the people of The Woodlands want and need.” said Kyle. “I was disturbed by how some of the current directors ignored a large majority of residents who told them there was no reason to pursue incorporation, and certainly no rush to place it on an off-year ballot at the last moment.”

Kyle is a practicing business and commercial litigation lawyer with Winstead PC and an equity shareholder in Winstead’s Business Litigation, Energy, and Financial Services Litigation Practice Groups. He is currently the managing shareholder of The Woodlands Office, where he has worked for approximately 20 years. After working for Lockheed Martin on a NASA contract, he enrolled at the South Texas College of Law in Houston where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and enjoyed numerous accomplishments. Upon graduating law school, Kyle went to work for Winstead PC where he has remained throughout this entire legal career.

Kyle is married to his wife of 21 years, Sarah, and is the proud father of three beautiful daughters: Erin, 17; Brooke, 16; and Kameron, 14.
