Thursday, March 2
The Woodlands Children’s Museum presents Shadow Puppet Theatre
today at 11 a.m. with “What Am I?: Texas” by Anne Margaret Lewis. Children will learn what makes Texas special, from the cowboy to the armadillo, in this “What Am I?” format. This is the perfect story to celebrate the Lone Star State. The event is included in the price of admission, which is $8 for adults and children 1 year and older. Shadow Puppet Theatre is an introduction to storytelling elements that allows our readers and audience to interact directly with each other, children of all ages are enchanted with the animated shadows.

Friday - Sunday, March 3 - 5
It’s Weekend 2 of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
, and once again The Woodlands Express offers riders a convenient trip to the event. The Woodlands Express, the Township’s Park and Ride transportation service, will ferry riders from Sawdust Park and Ride, 701 Westridge Road, to NRG Stadium for the Bar-B-Que Contest and during each weekend of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, allowing attendees to enjoy all the fun without all the frustration of parking and driving. The cost of round-trip transportation to the event is $13 per person. Reservations are required. The Woodlands Express regular tickets are not valid for this service.

Saturday, March 4
In celebration of World Hearing Day, join All Ears! Language & Listening Center
for a free, fun, and educational day to raise awareness about hearing health for all ages. The event – at their location at The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church – will include complimentary hearing and speech screenings, activities for the kids, food, vendor booths, an expert panel, and more. At All Ears!, they believe that children who are deaf and hard of hearing can learn to listen and speak, and develop alongside their typical hearing peers. Their team is leading the way in achieving early detection, appropriate amplification with hearing aids and/or cochlear implants, and the continued collaboration between Listening and Spoken Language Interventionists and Pediatric Audiologists.

Saturday, March 4
The Legacy Capital Woodlands Marathon
is a Boston qualifier, the fastest course in Texas on average, and one the top 25th fastest courses in the country. It qualifies close to 11 percent of its registered runners in the marathon for the Boston Marathon. The marathon, half marathon, 5k, 10K and 2k Fun Run traverse the streets of Town Center and the community on a pretty flat course, finishing on the scenic The Woodlands Waterway. Come if you’re a participant or spectator or supporter – friends, family and spectators line the streets at various cheer zones in the Cheer Challenge to encourage athletes along the way, and participants have the opportunity to run for charities in the Charity Challenge.
