SHENANDOAH, TX – The City of Shenandoah will hold a General Election Saturday, May 6. This year's election has three positions on the ballot: Councilmember Position 2, 3 and 4. The Candidate Forum will allow residents to hear the candidate platforms before voting. This year's Candidate Forum will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Complex.

Because the Candidate Forum will include only contested races, unopposed Councilmembers Bradt and Pollard will not be featured. In ballot order, the candidates for the contested Position 2 seat are David Teague (challenger) and Ted Fletcher (incumbent).

The Candidate Forum will begin with five questions selected by the forum moderator. Questions from the audience will be accepted on forms provided at the forum.

Because of limited seating in Council Chambers, the forum will be broadcast on the city's YouTube channel as with regular Council meetings.

Early voting will begin on April 24 and run through May 2. Shenandoah Municipal Complex is not an early voting site but will be an Election Day polling place for Precinct 31. Election times will be available at a future date from the Montgomery County Elections website.
