THE WOODLANDS, TX – Quote of the week: “God invented whiskey to keep the Irish from taking over the world.” — Unknown

Here’s Woodlands Online’s list of the Top 5 things you and/or the family are going to want to participate in.

It’s the final weekend of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
, and for the final time this year The Woodlands Express offers riders a convenient trip to the event. The Woodlands Express, the Township’s Park and Ride transportation service, will ferry riders from Sawdust Park and Ride, 701 Westridge Road, to NRG Stadium for the Bar-B-Que Contest and during each weekend of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, allowing attendees to enjoy all the fun without all the frustration of parking and driving. It’s Opening Night of the 2023 Waterway Nights – Spring Series

Saturday - Sunday, March 18 - 19
The YMCA at Branch Crossing is hosting March Madness today
! Hold on; not the ‘real’ March Madness, but one that’s more fun because your teens get to play. The March Madness Co-Ed 3v3 Basketball Tournament for teens aged 14 - 19 is taking place all weekend, hosted by YMCA Teen L.I.F.E. (leadership, inspiration, fellowship, education) program. Finalists from Saturday’s games will play for all the marbles (so to speak) at the Downtown Houston YMCA on Sunday. Slots may be filled for participants, but those hoopsters sure would love having you come out to cheer them on.

Sunday, March 19
Want to end your Spring Break on a high note? Head over to Northshore Park for Concert in the Park, the free concert series composed for the entire family. This weekend, variety band A Sure Thing will be playing. Also, as part of the themed Spring Break Fest, swing by The Woodlands Township tent for a craft that’ll wrap up your Spring Break in style.
