Montgomery County Food Bank Announces Its 2026 Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Montgomery County Food Bank is proud to announce its 2026 signature fundraising event, the Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala “Through the Looking Glass,” set for Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.
Inspired by imagination, transformation, and possibility, this year’s theme, “Through the Looking Glass,” invites the community into a vibrant and imaginative evening where creativity and generosity come together to support access to nourishing food for neighbors across Montgomery County. The Gala is presented by Waste Connections and led by Jim Carman, President of the Houston Region for Howard Hughes and Chairman of Montgomery County Food Bank’s Board of Directors, and Kristine Marlow, President & CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank.
Serving as 2026 Gala Chair is Heather Ramsey of the San Jacinto River Authority, who is joined by a dedicated group of community leaders on the Gala Committee:
• Kim Bailey, Community Volunteer
• Dr. Sarah Blakelock, Willis Independent School District
• David Deveau, JPMorgan Chase
• Elizabeth Eddins, Visit The Woodlands
• Rachel Goodlad, Alpha School
• Summer Hvasta, San Jacinto River Authority
• Janine Jones, Black Forest Ventures
• Jessica Munselle, 5Point Credit Union
• Cindy Polio, Better Bookkeepers
• Nikki Roux, Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital
• Angela Storseth-Cooper, The US Oncology Network - McKesson
“I’m honored to serve as Chair of the 2026 Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala,” said Heather Ramsey. “This event is a celebration of what our community does best: coming together with generosity and purpose and I look forward to the lasting impact it will have for families across Montgomery County.”
With Montgomery County Food Bank’s strong buying power and food-sourcing, every $1 raised through the Gala will help provide up to four meals for local children, seniors, and families served through its network of partner agencies.
Following a year marked by increased demand for food assistance, the Gala provides critical momentum to begin 2026— strengthening the Food Bank’s ability to continue delivering nutritious food to neighbors throughout the county.
“Our Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala turns generosity into impact at a time when the need has never been greater,” said Kristine Marlow, President & CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank. “It’s a joyful opportunity to come together in support of our mission while ensuring families across Montgomery County have access to the nourishing food they need to thrive.”
The evening will feature an engaging blend of fundraising and celebration, including live and silent auctions, interactive experiences, and creative opportunities to support Montgomery County Food Bank’s work.
