Commissioner Noack details latest roadwork for Precinct 3
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Precinct 3 is working with contractor Teamwork on several intersection improvements, according to a recent statement by the office of Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack.
Current roadwork includes:
Woodlands Parkway at Gosling Road – Crews started clearing a portion of the median along westbound Woodlands Parkway at Gosling Road over the weekend in preparation for extension of the two left-turn lanes turning onto southbound Gosling Road. They started saw-cutting for excavation Monday.
Once completed, crews will work on extension of the two left-turn lanes on southbound Gosling Road turning onto eastbound Woodlands Parkway.
These extensions will add turn-lane storage, helping alleviate traffic congestion at the intersection as well as for through traffic along the two thoroughfares.
Woodlands Parkway at Kuykendahl Road – After the improvements are completed at Gosling Road, Teamwork will extend the left-turn lanes on westbound Woodlands Parkway turning onto southbound Kuykendahl Road.
Then, a second left-turn lane will be added and turn-lane extension completed on southbound Kuykendahl Road turning onto eastbound Woodlands Parkway.
Hanna Bridge Repair – Pavement repair/replacement on the bridge along Hanna Road north of Rayford Road is slated to start in June. The bridge repairs will require full closure of the bridge, and traffic will be detoured during the weeks-long repair project.
Pavement repairs – Precinct 3 has been working with contractor Rebel on concrete repairs along northbound Grogan’s Mill Road between Sawdust Road and Woodlands Parkway. Drivers should anticipate alternating lane closures during the repairs.
Once repairs are completed along Grogan’s Mill Road, work will start on repairs along Woodlands Parkway as well as other roads.
