THE WOODLANDS, TX – Quote of the week: “There’s a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.” — Steven Wright

There’s some gloom at the end of the tunnel, but that’s a good thing! Slowly but surely we’re coming out of the record-breaking heat bubble that’s been plaguing us for a couple of months now, and cloudier skies and cooler weather is right around the corner. Celebrate by partaking in some of the amazing events that The Woodlands has to offer. Here’s a list of our five favorite for the week!

Wednesday, September 6

How’d you like to find some inner peace, spiritual balance, and physical health all at once? Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center is hosting an 8-week Tai Chi class for beginners. Tai Chi is a very gentle form of movement that results in increased strength and balance, improved circulation, decreased stress, and a multitude of other health benefits. This Tai Chi class can be performed while seated for those with mobility limitations. The class runs Wednesdays from today through October 25.

Let’s be honest; we all – well, we most – like a great night of karaoke. And fine jewelry is always a draw. Fortunately, Dannini Fine Jewelers has decided to meld the two. Join them for Karaoke Night as they provide the words, cheering crowd, and – of course – liquid courage, which might also help inspire you to check out some of their amazing jewelry pieces and take one home with you along with karaoke memories.
