THE WOODLANDS, TX – Waste Management, The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N., and Woodlands Water are sponsoring the annual 3R Recycling Drive-Thru event on Saturday, November 11, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon at The Woodlands High School parking lot, 6101 Research Forest. Volunteers and service organizations are encouraged to sign up for this event, which is guaranteed to be heavily attended.

The 3R Recycling Drive-Thru event is a free opportunity for people to celebrate the importance of recycling in our community and to recycle select items that cannot be recycled in curbside carts. People are invited to bag or box items separately by category and place them in their trunk or back passenger side seat for safe access by volunteers, who will remove the items. This event is for residents only; no businesses are allowed.

Last year, more than100 people helped make this event happen, and even more volunteers are encouraged to be a part of the team that helps keep more than 30,000 pounds of waste out of landfill. Volunteers may register by clicking on this link: https://environmentalservicesdepartment.wufoo.com/forms/q1afqv1x0rnoq9v/.

Please be aware that these above items can only be recycled through special programs such as Terracycle or by a contractor and cannot be put in your curbside recycling cart. Document Shredding will not be offered at this event. However, document shredding will be available for residents only during the National Night Out event on October 21, 8 a.m. to noon at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center.
