THE WOODLANDS, TX – If you were planning on washing your car later today for the weekend, don’t. Just… don’t. Late tonight into early tomorrow morning we’re going to get deluged with a lot of rain. Fortunately, it won’t last too long, and the rest of the weekend will be cooler, with the remaining wetness bringing a chill – not a swelter – to the air.

The weekend will start off wet, then chill out

The rest of our Friday morning will slowly get cloudier and warmer until he hover around a high of 69, maybe 70, in the early afternoon. But that’s when the rains will start blitzing in, dumping up to two-thirds of an inch in just a few hours as Friday shifts into early Saturday morning. Stay indoors and have your palate, stomach, and musical taste delighted at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn for The Gatlin Brothers Live Music & Dinner Show. While it’s still a precipitous drop of nearly 20 degrees, the high humidity and dew point will keep our overnight low in the 50s, relatively warm.

By sunrise Saturday morning, the rains will be on their final legs, but the temperature will barely crawl up 10 degrees to a high of 61. High winds up to 11 mph will keep the wet air slapping against your face if you venture outdoors, but the chances of additional precipitation falling are pretty slim. But the temperature won’t stop dropping until it hits the upper 30s. Get into the outdoors holiday spirit by catching a Movie Night performance of The Grinch at City Place.

Right around the time most of us are waking up on Sunday morning, the humidity will drop like a paralyzed falcon and the temperature will swiftly soar up to the mid 60s. The moderate winds and sunny skies will make for a gorgeous day to be outdoors. Take the entire family to Learning Express Toys to meet – up close and in person – Santa AND Mrs. Claus!

As we venture into the final work week before Christmas, we can expect cool and dry weather, but beware the possibility of a grey Christmas…
