THE WOODLANDS, TX – The morning rains are already subsiding, and the worst of the weekend weather is behind us. Clouds are also meandering away and the winds are dropping to near-nothing. By the time the afternoon work whistle sounds, skies should be much clearer as we finally hit our high of 55. To ease out of the work week and into the weekend, think about heading over to City Place to enjoy some Vinyasa yoga followed by a wine tasting. They plan for it to be outdoors, but should the weather take a turn they have an indoors alternate.

The first weekend of 2024 will be pretty welcoming

While small chances of rain are possible all throughout the weekend, Saturday morning should only have clouds with no precipitation to speak of. Again, once the afternoon hits, the sun will come out to play, warming things up to a late afternoon high of 61. A rising pressure front, dropping winds, and moderate humidity will all meld into a great day to enjoy some outdoors Woodlands events, like maybe a two-mile guided hike through the W.G. Jones State Forest on the north side of town.

As we roll into Sunday from a low of 36 degrees, we can expect partly cloudy skies all days as we get up once again to a high of 61. The chances of rain will marginally increase, and later in the day the winds will kick up, so maybe you’ll want to plan to attend an indoor event, like creating some strut-worthy art at Painting With a Twist’s Diva Day.

Enjoy it while you can, however; it looks like Monday will be a stormy, wet one that might just pave the way for a cool, sunny week to follow…

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
