**UPDATE** MCTXSheriff Located Missing Person Ricky Barnhart

NEW CANEY, TX -- On January 9th, 2024, Detectives with Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Division located Ricky Barnhart deceased.

At this time, there does not appear to be any sign of foul play. The circumstances surrounding Ricky's death are still under investigation, and no further information can be released at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ricky’s family as they go through this difficult time.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and local agencies are currently searching for missing and endangered person Ricky Barnhart. Mr. Barnhart was last seen at his home on FM 1485 in New Caney, TX on January 2, 2024. At that time, Mr. Barnhart was wearing a red and black flannel shirt and shorts.

Mr. Barnhart has cognitive difficulties and is also without his prescriptions that are medically necessary.
