ADVISORY: Harris County Precinct 4 facilities will be closed Jan. 13 - 16

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Leslie Briones, Commissioner for Harris County Precinct 4, which covers the Creekside part of The Woodlands outside of Montgomery County, has issued a statement that announced the upcoming closings to precinct facilities starting this weekend due to the impending hard freeze coming in.

"With the safety of our community and constituents in mind, all Harris County Precinct 4 community centers, senior education centers, fitness centers and education centers will be closed Saturday, Jan. 13 through Tuesday, Jan. 16. This is due to the upcoming threat of extreme winter weather," she said in the statement.

The closure includes the following Precinct 4 facilities:

  • Bayland Community Center
  • Burnett Bayland Community Center
  • Freed Community Center
  • Hockley Community Center
  • Richard & Meg Weekley Community Center
  • Steve Radack Community Center
  • Tracy Gee Community Center
  • Mary Jo Peckham Aquatic and Fitness Center
  • Jim & JoAnn Fonteno Senior Education Center
  • Thomas A Glazier Senior Education Center
  • John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center
  • Kleb Woods Nature Center
  • All buildings at Precinct 4 parks, including restrooms
