MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- At 8:30pm, Lake Conroe’s lake level is 203.97 ft. msl. and releases are 19525 cfs. With rainfall across the watershed today inflows are reducing, however lake level into Lake Conroe continues to rise due to rainfall and runoff.

Data from the River Forecast Center and the National Weather Service indicates SJRA operators will incrementally increase the releases to buffer the incoming flow into the lake while also gradually getting the lake level back to conservation pool of 201 ft. msl., and protecting the integrity of the dam facilities.

SJRA has notified Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (MCOHSEM) that incremental increases are needed that will maintain a lake level of approximately 204.5’ msl. MCOHSEM will send notifications regarding planning.
