THE WOODLANDS, TX – Earlier this week, Texas State Representative (District 16) Will Metcalf awarded local teen singing sensation Payton Riley with a congratulatory resolution that he filed in the Texas House of Representatives. The presentation ceremony took place at Metcalf’s Conroe office.

This resolution recognized Payton's exceptional achievements in the Texas country music industry, commending her for her remarkable success at such a young age. It was presented in honor of her recent accolade of being selected as the 2023 Young Artist of the Year by the Texas Country Music Association.

Payton and her family are longtime Conroe residents; District 16 covers most of Conroe and other points north of The Woodlands.

Payton will next host a release party at Sawyer Park Ice House on March 3. The event will support and raise funds for her music career. In addition, the event will serve as a platform to raise awareness for Love Heals Youth, a non-profit organization that is dear to Payton's heart.

In addition to live music performances, there will be live and silent auctions throughout the day, offering attendees the opportunity to bid on great items. Furthermore, Texas Music Reviews will be present at the event, providing live coverage, artist interviews, and filming.
