THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Arts Council (TWAC) invites the community to Art Matters Series III: Fireside Chat with Bob Mosier on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the The Woodlands Arts Council Gallery, located at 9450 Grogan's Mill Road, Suite 160, The Woodlands, TX 77380.
This free event is open to the public and welcomes art lovers, collectors, and anyone interested in exploring the impact of art within the community. Space is limited, and RSVPs are required. Reserve your seat at: https://form.jotform.com/261474939227164.
The afternoon will feature an engaging conversation with exhibiting artist Bob Mosier, whose work is currently on display at the TWAC Gallery. The discussion will explore the intersections of art, creativity, and community while offering insight into the experiences that have shaped Mosier's artistic journey and unique perspective.
Guests will enjoy an intimate fireside chat in a relaxed setting, with opportunities to ask questions and participate in audience discussion.
Bob Mosier is recognized for his innovative fabric sculptures that examine the relationship between light, form, and texture. Combining machine and hand-sewn thread, he transforms flat fabric into dramatic three-dimensional works that project up to nine inches from the wall. His distinctive creations blur the line between textile art and sculpture, using the softness of fabric to create bold, structural forms.
Community members are encouraged to attend this unique opportunity to hear directly from the artist, gain insight into his creative process, and engage in meaningful conversation about the role of art in enriching the community.
