CONROE, TX -- Celebrate the start of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at the 59th Annual Go Texan Parade on Saturday, February 17, at 1:00pm in downtown Conroe. The Conroe Go Texan Parade is the largest gathering of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials outside of rodeo activities at NRG Park during the run of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The parade is presented by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ Houston Metro Go Texan Committee Conroe/Willis/The Woodlands Subcommittee and the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce. The parade will feature many dignitaries from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, including this year’s Grand Marshal, Ray Hinsley.

The route begins at N Frazier St (75) and Metcalf St (FM 2854) and will continue east along Metcalf Street to Main St. and through downtown Conroe. See parade route. Come early and get a good spot along the parade route and be sure to check out some of the wonderful downtown Conroe businesses and restaurants.

The City of Conroe is proud to support the Go Texan Parade and their committee of volunteers who put on great events all in support of the youth of the community. Throughout the year, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Houston Metro Go Texan Committee Conroe/Willis/The Woodlands Subcommittee hosts several events that raise money for student scholarships. In support of their efforts, The City of Conroe has proclaimed Saturday, February 17th as “Ray Hinsley Day” in Conroe.

The Go Texan Committee, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and the Houston Metro Go Texan Committee-Conroe/Willis/The Woodlands encourages the community to join them this year as a spectator at the parade or in celebration of Go Texan Day by putting your best cowboy boot forward and showing your Western pride.
