THE WOODLANDS, TX – Winter has apparently decided to take a hike early, and it seems like we’re in for some warmer, wetter, springlike weather already.

It’s decidedly warmer this weekend

Today, Friday, can’t get much prettier than it already will be. The morning clouds are already dissipating and the already-moderate winds are settling down. We’ll enjoy partly cloudy skies all day as the mercury only makes it up to 74 for a high. Once late afternoon and early evening hit, however, that same mercury will take a nosedive until the overnight low settles in the upper 40s. As the temperature plummets, enjoy the segue by catching FM Radio – the awesome band that plays covers of faves from the ‘70s through the ‘90s – at Ego Cuisine & Music.

Overnight into Saturday, there may be enough sprinkles to wet the lawns a tad, but your Saturday morning should dawn bright and clear. A few clouds will dot the mostly sunny skies as the winds drop to nil. The day will be one of transition as the dew point rises and the pressure starts to drop along with the humidity, making for a warm, dry day hitting 80 degrees for the high. This indoor / outdoor weather is a perfect reflection of the Montgomery County Home & Outdoor Living Show, taking place all weekend.

When you hit the sack Saturday night, the skies will be a lot clearer than when you wake up Sunday morning. Overnight, the clouds will come pouring in, and with them some slightly higher chances of rain. As the pressure drops and the clouds fill the sky from horizon to horizon, we’ll rapidly go from our low of 59 into the low 80s. Chances are, the sky will threaten rain all day but won’t make good on the threat to any extent. If you want to enjoy some cool (literally and figuratively) outdoor fun in the early morning, hit Market Street for The Woodlands Car Club’s Cars & Coffee for a Cause. As your Sunday ends, you can keep the ceiling fans on and the space heaters off as the low hits a gentle 65.

However, as Monday looms, prepare for a few days that will be more wet than dry…
